Pre- owned SEIKO Prospex Diver 1970 'Captain Willard' green re- interpretation men's watch, model reference SPB153J1. Stainless steel 43mm watch case, green dial with date, automatic Seiko calibre 6R35 movement, fitted to a black rubber strap with pin buckle fastener.
Sapphire Crystal. Water Resistant to 200M/ 20bar/ 660ft
Supplied with original box & paperwork plus 12 month Louis Meyer warranty.
Inspected by a professional watchmaker to ensure authenticity, water resistance and proper functioning.
CONDITION: some slight marks visible to the bezel, most notably around 3 and 9 o'clock. No notable marks to the watch case. No wear to strap or buckle. Glass unmarked.
This reinterpretation of Seiko's 1970 diver timepiece was named 'Captain Willard' after Martin Sheen's character who wore it in the Apocalypse Now movie. Japanese explorer Naomi Uemura wore the original Seiko 1970 diver when he became the first man to conquer the five highest peaks on each continent.
